Maria Schultz is no stranger to the Creston neighborhood. Growing up on the Northeast side and graduating from Creston High, she spent many years wishing and waiting for the area to flourish.

Wanting to stay local after high school, Maria attended Grand Valley State University. Always dreaming and observing the world around her, she earned her BFA in Illustration, hoping to inspire others to see things the way she saw them. After college, she packed up and joined her husband in North Carolina where he was stationed in the Army. She spent three years literally ‘supporting our troops’ with caffeine and witty remarks as a barista on Fort Bragg.

While the change of scenery was inspiring and welcome, she’s back in town for good. Maria is ready and eager to help the Creston Brewery show Grand Rapids that the North End is a welcoming community, ready to flourish.
