Emily grew up in the small town of Owosso, MI. She moved here in 2006 to attend Grand Valley State University where she studied Biomedical Science and Chemistry. While at GVSU, she was philanthropy chair of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. After GVSU, she decided her true passion was in hospitality. She has been working in the restaurant industry for almost 10 years. Emily met the love of her life on a pool table at a bar and they have been inseparable since. She soon joined his APA team and has been competitively playing pool for the last 3 years. Emily gave birth to her daughter, Lola, in August 2015. Her daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the young age of 5 months old. Emily is an advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and raises money and awareness for the disease. She hopes to someday create a world without T1D. In her spare time, Emily enjoys singing karaoke, playing pool and drinking craft beer.
